Kindroid alternative with daily free chat
Kindroid retired its unlimited free Lite tier on October 1, 2026. According to Kindroid's help center, new free accounts now get a one-time preview of its premium model, and the account becomes read-only after that until a trial or subscription is started. Veltale is an adults-only alternative with 15 free welcome messages, then 5 free messages every day. Everything a character says is made up by an AI.

A free tier that comes back each day
Veltale: 15 free welcome messages, then 5 free messages a day. After that, text is about 0.67 Sparks per message, and Sparks is optional.
Pictures in the same chat
Ask for a picture, or tap the camera. A picture costs 12 Sparks and the price is shown before you tap. The Look and scene card keeps the outfit and place consistent.
Prepaid, crypto only, no card
Optional Sparks packs start at the $0.99 Try Pack (once per account) and the $3 Starter pack. Chat Passes ($6 for 7 days, $15 for 30 days) cover prepaid unlimited text chat. All paid in crypto only, and nothing renews.
Honest comparison
Veltale is not Kindroid. We make no claim about how the two compare on memory, voice or any other feature, and there is no automatic link between the two. To bring a companion over, use Bring your character: paste the name, description and greeting from its edit screen, and it starts as a new chat here. We focus on a free-to-try adult chat with pictures and simple prepaid prices.
